We recently completed a bathroom shutter installation in Barlestone for returning customers — a wet-room style bathroom with dark stone-effect tiles, brushed gold fittings and a window sitting directly above the bath.
Why shutters for a bathroom?
Bathrooms need privacy without turning the room into a cave. Plantation shutters are an excellent choice here because you can angle the louvres to let in daylight while keeping a clear line of sight blocked from outside. Fabric blinds struggle in a steamy space; shutters wipe clean and stay looking fitted.
For this Barlestone project we fitted a two-panel white plantation shutter set neatly in the window recess above the tub. The louvres are shown slightly open — soft daylight in, privacy retained.

Key details from this install:
- Full-height white plantation shutters over a bath window
- Adjustable louvres for privacy with daylight
- Inside-recess fit against tiled reveals
- Repeat visit for homeowners who already know our survey-to-fit process
