A returning customer in Barwell asked us back for their landing window — an Oak hardwood plantation shutter with 76mm louvres, silent split tilt and Bright Brass hardware.
The spec
Painted finishes are the usual choice, but a stained hardwood finish brings out real timber grain — and here it ties in with the oak staircase and handrail on the landing. Bright Brass hardware adds a warm accent against the stain.
Silent split tilt keeps the face of the panels clean while still letting the upper and lower louvres move independently. Landing windows are often overlooked by neighbours, so closing the lower louvres while leaving the top open is a practical way to keep the stairwell bright.
