We recently completed a Boston shutter installation in Loughborough — Pure White plantation shutters on a four-section bay, specified with 76mm louvres, hidden tilt and split tilt.
The brief
This Loughborough bay needed a fitted cover that followed every angle of the reveal, without a visible tilt rod across the slats. Boston (hardwood panels on an MDF frame) in Pure White was the right range; 76mm louvres keep the view open when tilted, and split tilt lets the lower slats close for privacy while the tops stay open for daylight.
Before
The uPVC bay was left clear before fitting — four sections, including hopper lights in the outer panes.

After
Full-height Pure White panels were fitted across the bay. Hidden tilt keeps the face of each panel clean; split tilt still gives independent upper and lower louvre control without needing a separate tier-on-tier layout.

Key details from this project:
- Boston hardwood-panel shutters in Pure White
- 76mm louvres on a four-section bay
- Hidden tilt and split tilt
- Measured, manufactured and fitted by our own team
This is a separate Loughborough job from our earlier tier-on-tier bay install. More local context is on the Loughborough shutters page.
